Hello!
Smoker for 20+ years, now smoke-free for 4 years because of vaping.
Switching from smoking to vaping has improved my health as well as my economy – and vaping sweet juices, has also helped me cut down on my intake of sweets and the likes.
Banning all sweet vape flavours to prevent children from picking up cigarettes, is like banning all bicycles to prevent children from killing themselves on mopeds. Yes – it is exactly that stupid.
Furthermore – a flavour ban is basically telling pretty much every single adult, that they’re irresponsible and unfit to make their own decisions: Parents are unfit to teach their own kids to stay out of harms way – Vape shops are unfit to uphold the law and keep vape product sales to adults – and the general adult person is unfit to make a life-improving decision to stop smoking, using a harm-reducing alternative of their own choice.
It’s a step in the wrong direction – from big brother watching, to big mother deciding. Deciding what is best for YOU, rather than letting personal freedom and freedom of choice, be just that. It’s a HUGE setback for human rights and individuality.
It is Orwell’s fiction at it’s worst.
