I was seriously injured in a work-related accident in 2008. I was a current smoker and continued to smoke after being home and injured. I was introduced to my first vape shop around 2012 in Ogden Utah, but tobacco still had me by the throat. I could not stop smoking, I knew smoking was killing me and my loved ones.

I was still out of work and trying to figure out my next direction in life with my new head injury, my thoughts of maybe opening up a vape shop soon begin.

My first vape that I would buy was the Cig A Like Kit by BLU, it was interesting but not cost affective and just didn’t do it for me. So the smoking continued, we joined the vape movement in 2013 shortly after losing my father to smoking. We had planned on quitting smoking together but he was taken before we had the chance to fight our terrible addiction to tobacco.

I promised my father and children that I would quit smoking but continued to struggle, trying nicotine gum, patches, the Colorado QuitLine, nothing worked. So I stopped by our local cigarette store one day to I’m sure to buy a couple packs of Marlboro Reds and noticed a new type of E-Cigarette, the EGo Battery and Wicked Cartomizer Disposable Tank. With 15ml bottle of mixed berry flavored E liquids.

My journey into vaping began but I continued to struggle and smoke cigarettes, I hated it every time. They made me feel disgusting, stinky and like I was failing my promise to my father, my children, my wife, and my self. After years of struggling and stressing we were finally able to open our own vape shop with the intention of quitting smoking and helping as many as we possibly can to quit smoking as well.

Our vape shop is locally owned and operated by only myself and sometimes my wife. This is our piece of the American dream our 5 children depend on the success of our shop and the industry. My goal for the vape industry was to leave combustible tobacco in the past for all of us, to better ourselves and help each other lead healthier lives.

I have since QUIT smoking using fruit and cake E Liquids, I purchased my last pack of cigarettes in June Of 2018. Quitting smoking was the hardest thing I have ever tried to do! We have been able to help hundreds of people change their lives, the vape industry has been under constant attack since the beginning but we will continue to serve our customers and fight to help our industry survive.
